I feel very accomplished. Here I am, week 3 into my summer class and I've already read and finished every book that we were assigned. I finished the last one this morning, and it was by far the best one of all three of them.
HUZZAH! This means now I don't have to worry about anything except the midterm and the final exam. This makes me happy!!
And gives me more time to focus on...oh...learning the guitar or something.

Before I even got my statement in the mail...I have paid off my credit card! It actually had accrued quite a bit of use last month. With all the crap that went down...I went and purchased a guitar and accessories (stand, picks, strap, strap hook) as well as put the hotel we stayed at in Cleveland on there.
And it's all paid off!! The paper statement should be arriving any day now. And I can just mark it as paid! This makes me happy!
This was, of course, possible, because my pay check did in fact go through (miracle of miracles) and I received my economic stimulus for the full amount I should have. HAPPY!!
I need this because at 9:30 I have a meeting with my boss.
So, I enjoy the happiness now!

I got done stuffing the last envelope just before the mail guy turned up to take it away. This is how much I rock.
*glances down at abused fingers and hands*
Hopefully I won't ever have to repeat that. Ow.
Do I get workers comp for 50 paper cuts?

Lazy Sunday. (SARCASM!!) You gotta love them. (MORE SARCASM!!) Of course, for me, a Sunday begins around 8:00 a.m. That's usually when I haul my arse out of bed and finish up whatever is left of my homework. And that's exactly what I did this morning. Once that was done, I felt a wee bit better about myself. I still have a lot to do, especially with an upcoming midterm and a huge research paper I have yet to start, but...it's something!
Got out of the apartment. This is always a good thing. Didn't need to buy anything...just have learned that staying cooped up isn't the best thing for me on weekends. I love to get out and do stuff. So,
ladystarblade and I went out to a few shops and looked around before heading to Wal-Mart to pick up some necessities...like chocolate. HAHA!
Came back home and after a while, made spaghetti for dinner. It was so good. And I've gotten quite good at making sure the dishes get done immediately after and getting everything cleaned up. It may seem like a hassle at the time, but it actually works out better. I'll go empty the dishwasher in a moment...as it has run. And, man...was it full!
So...my goals for today were:
Read Chapter 4 of Waiting 'Til The Midnight Hour
Finish GBS article. (The finished article is over 1700 words)
Think up questions for Siochain article next week.
Begin studying for quiz on Tuesday.
More researching articles and books for research paper.
And I even accomplished a bit more than what was on my list:
Update the Celtic MP3 Music Magazine site.
Research workout videos.
Make 80s music mix.
Yeah...I'm now ahead on my homework for History, which makes me...SO VERY HAPPY!!
And my goals were met. You know...this list thing isn't such a bad idea. It keeps me focused on getting things done. I may have to do that more often.
I'm amazed at how much got accomplished this weekend! Constantly doing something. No moment of being bored or having nothing in the works. That hasn't happened in a long time.
I hope everyone else had a good and productive weekend. Or at least restful.

After a very, very long day today...I got home and decided to go on a tear and get the DVDs in order from Christmas. Because, I just haven't gotten around to it. Both
ladystarblade and I started pulling the movies that we knew we'd never watch again but owned.
OH. MY. GOD.
That was so theraputic. I had my dad on the phone for awhile to see if both he and my mom were interested in any of them. My dad went for a lot of good ones, including a copy of The Quick and the Dead, declaring, "Anything with Gene Hackman has gotta be good!" My dad knows his stuff!! My mom picked a lot of my chick flicks and a copy of Gladiator.
And speaking of the two above-mentioned movies...I did a huge clearing out of my Russell Crowe discs and in addition to those two, I cleared out a bunch of films. I ended up keeping a few...but I ditched a whole bunch of them including: Proof, Brides of Christ, Romper Stomper, For the Moment, The Sum of Us, No Way Back, Rough Magic, Heaven's Burning, Breaking Up, Mystery Alaska, and Proof of Life. And you know what? I paid A LOT for a majority of those since they are so difficult to find. But...wow!! A burden has been lifted.
And so many more films bit the dust as well. But, man...that felt good. I know that I paid I large amount for some of those, but you know what? I won't miss them. Most of them I never watched. I just bought them because Russell Crowe was in them.
Go figure.
I love it when things start to come together. Like cleaning up the apartment. That continues tomorrow as we have guests coming over for dinner. WOOT!

I was rather busy today...and I'm quite proud of that.
Started off this morning by going to the BMV to get something fixed on the bill they sent for renewing my tag. Well...I ended up paying for the tag, but it got fixed...just way ahead of schedule. My renewal comes up in February. Guess now I don't have to worry about it. But...OUCH...paying on a brand new car = expensive!! Just sayin'.
After that, it was breakfast.
Then a quick run down to the post office to mail off a few bills. Then
ladystarblade and I met up with
congoddess and her boytoy for a round of bowling. Video games, pool, and skiball followed. Much hillarity to be had.
After that, we went into Louisville to do some shopping at the mall and Best Buy and Half Price Books. Back home where I finished reading my book on McCarthyism. Thank goodness it was an easy read and didn't read like a text book.
Now, I've been contenting myself with some writing. Loving it!

Okay...so here's the scenario. I've been watching a two vinyl set on eBay. This is the eBay description:
Two green vinyl singles from Klark Kent (Stewart Copeland of Police fame). Away From Home/Office Talk and Rich in A Ditch/Grandelinquent. Both 1980. Both vinyls in excellent condition, Sleeves very good, no splits but a couple of pinholes.
Yeah...I wanted them. I coveted them. Have been watching them for awhile now. And when I left for a meeting at 9:30, they had just a little bit of time left and 2 bids. Since I was interested, I had
ladystarblade bid for me while I was gone. She asked for a limit, and I said to use her best judgment.
Well...I won.
And let's just say this, while a bit pricey in the end, was the best purchase ever. I got them for a steal! :)
SO EXCITED!!!

Ugh.
What more can I say. I got to the winery at 3:00 p.m. I left there at 10:30 p.m. I got home just before 11:30 p.m.
That's a long-ass fucking day.
The silent auction was very successful. Sold everything. And that's always a good thing. Looking forward to a movie tomorrow. Maybe a bit of shopping while out and about.
Not too much though as car insurance and car payment are due next week. AND I have a Police show to attend, that means gas...food...merchandise...
But...on the good side...
ladystarblade surprised me with purse (WOOHOO!) that I can wear across my body not just over one arm...and filled it with goodies...
1.) Chocolate covered thin mints
2.) Donkey magnet
3.) Donkey car air freshner
4.) Small tape measure that retracts for my hemp jewelry
5.) A Naught/Nice santa hat. I've been wanting one of those!!!!
So...after the long, long day at the winery for the Medallion Dinner...
ladystarblade made it all better.
And I really could bitch about how I hated that it ran so far behind and all...but I'm just glad it's over at this point. And
ladystarblade got a Peyton Manning poster out of the deal too. YAY!!
