I feel very accomplished. Here I am, week 3 into my summer class and I've already read and finished every book that we were assigned. I finished the last one this morning, and it was by far the best one of all three of them.

HUZZAH! This means now I don't have to worry about anything except the midterm and the final exam. This makes me happy!!

And gives me more time to focus on...oh...learning the guitar or something.

Because this never happens...

Before I even got my statement in the mail...I have paid off my credit card! It actually had accrued quite a bit of use last month. With all the crap that went down...I went and purchased a guitar and accessories (stand, picks, strap, strap hook) as well as put the hotel we stayed at in Cleveland on there.

And it's all paid off!! The paper statement should be arriving any day now. And I can just mark it as paid! This makes me happy!

This was, of course, possible, because my pay check did in fact go through (miracle of miracles) and I received my economic stimulus for the full amount I should have. HAPPY!!

I need this because at 9:30 I have a meeting with my boss.

So, I enjoy the happiness now!

Rock and Roll Dreams Come True
Well, it wasn't easy. I had to really force myself to get things done this weekend due to being emotionally drained from the week I had at work. BUT...I finished a lot of things.

This morning, I wrote my final paper for Journalism Ethics. This afternoon, I buckled down and wrote up my final article for Newspaper Reporting. I had already gotten ahead on my History reading. I think I'll have one thing to read this week...Chapter 14...wherever he tells us to stop. I should start it, but I'm just not motivated.

The last day of classes for me is April 17. Final exams are April 24 and 29. GAH! At least I have time to study. Plenty of time to study. I'll need it.

I also...FINALLY...got caught up on the Celtic Music Magazine today. I had been neglecting it simply because of everything that went down at work. I'll be able to keep up again now that I'm caught up. I was only three postings behind, but they do take some time. Done. :)

And tonight...FICTION PLANE is playing in Louisville. We're going. And we're going to have a blast. I absolutely LOVE seeing these guys in a club scene and I can't wait to just sit back and enjoy the show. I haven't seen them perform since December so this will be nice. And this time, we have earplugs to save our hearing. WOOT!

More on that tomorrow. Looking forward to finally having a good time.

So far today...

After a rather restless evening last night, I've accomplished a little bit today. I worked out, doing my yoga and went for a long walk this morning. It was a bit cold outside, but I needed to get out and just relax. Take in the morning. And I felt a bit better after doing so.

I also finished one of my three articles I had left to write. I hope to transcribe the one on my recorder tonight or tomorrow. We'll see what schedules look like and how everyone is feeling. I need to get questions out for the last one.

Whew.

And I think I'm going to put on some actual clothes now and take the recyclables to the drop-off point because...it has to be done.

Then I'll see what else I can accomplish today.

Wish me luck! ♥

Weekend...accomplished!

Lazy Sunday. (SARCASM!!) You gotta love them. (MORE SARCASM!!) Of course, for me, a Sunday begins around 8:00 a.m. That's usually when I haul my arse out of bed and finish up whatever is left of my homework. And that's exactly what I did this morning. Once that was done, I felt a wee bit better about myself. I still have a lot to do, especially with an upcoming midterm and a huge research paper I have yet to start, but...it's something!

Got out of the apartment. This is always a good thing. Didn't need to buy anything...just have learned that staying cooped up isn't the best thing for me on weekends. I love to get out and do stuff. So, [info]ladystarblade and I went out to a few shops and looked around before heading to Wal-Mart to pick up some necessities...like chocolate. HAHA!

Came back home and after a while, made spaghetti for dinner. It was so good. And I've gotten quite good at making sure the dishes get done immediately after and getting everything cleaned up. It may seem like a hassle at the time, but it actually works out better. I'll go empty the dishwasher in a moment...as it has run. And, man...was it full!

So...my goals for today were:

Read Chapter 4 of Waiting 'Til The Midnight Hour
Finish GBS article. (The finished article is over 1700 words)
Think up questions for Siochain article next week.
Begin studying for quiz on Tuesday.
More researching articles and books for research paper.

And I even accomplished a bit more than what was on my list:

Update the Celtic MP3 Music Magazine site.
Research workout videos.
Make 80s music mix.

Yeah...I'm now ahead on my homework for History, which makes me...SO VERY HAPPY!!

And my goals were met. You know...this list thing isn't such a bad idea. It keeps me focused on getting things done. I may have to do that more often.

I'm amazed at how much got accomplished this weekend! Constantly doing something. No moment of being bored or having nothing in the works. That hasn't happened in a long time.

I hope everyone else had a good and productive weekend. Or at least restful.

And once again...

I have met my goals despite the late hour. I wouldn't have given up my time out tonight for anything. I needed that.

The goals I set and accomplished today were:

Read Chapter 3 of Waiting 'Til The Midnight Hour
Type up notes highlighted in Major Problems in American History Since 1945 to study from.
Begin writing GBS article for Newspaper Reporting. (I have 900 words thus far!)
Continue researching articles and books for research paper. (I found an amazing document...I just can't find somewhere that actually has it. DAMMIT!)

So...feeling good! WOOT!

Goal Reached

Earlier I posted my goals for this weekend. While also including a dinner out and some grocery shopping and other shopping...I did accomplish this:

Today: Read Chapter 7 in Journalism Ethics.
Read Chapter 8 in Major Problems in American History Since 1945.
Finish reading Chapter 1 of Waiting 'Til The Midnight Hour.
Begin researching articles and books for research paper.

Got a new '80s music CD tonight. LOVE IT SO MUCH!

Goal reached. WOOT!! Time to watch a movie.

What I accomplished...

Shopping on Black Friday is normally something I don't do. But, my sister and I went out for awhile and I managed to get quite a bit taken care of without spending too much! So, my list now reads like this:

Dad
Mom
Brother
Sister-in-Law
Nephew
Niece
Sister
Brother-in-Law
Nephew
Mom2
[info]ladystarblade (1/3 done)
[info]congoddess (1/2 done)
[info]lost_judi
Lucas
Sandy

So...one more gift for [info]congoddess, more internet orders for [info]ladystarblade...and I'm completely lost on [info]lost_judi and Sandy. But I'll get it figured out!

I feel so very accomplished.

And that included the shoes and buying a jacket for myself. I couldn't turn down a $45 jacket that was regular $189.

Ooofda!

Life happened while making plans
Okay...I'm actually feeling rather accomplished.

My sister came over this morning and we headed out. Went to a few stores. And suddenly, I have very few people on my Christmas list anymore. WOOT!! Really, the only people remaining are [info]congoddess and [info]lost_judi. Oh...and the rest of the internet orders I have to do for [info]ladystarblade. But...I'm DONE!! NO MORE!! WOOT!!

Except for stocking stuffers. But...really. WOOT!

My wallet is screaming. But I'm quite satisfied. My feet hurt though. Oof.

I did manage to get some new tennis shoes though. They even are kind of sparkly. Weird! ;)
